since I know that many of you are as passionate about travelling as we are, today I’m going to let you in on Paris‘ best kept secret ;)
As you might already have seen on my Instagram, I spent 4 beautiful days in the city of lights with one of my dearest friends and I’d love to tell you more about the story of the gorgeous hotel we had the pleasure of staying at.
Le Narcisse Blanc is a beautiful 5 star boutique hotel just a 15 minute walk away from the Eiffel Tower. With its 37 rooms and luxurious spa, it truly is a little gem hidden in the heart of Paris, right near little cafès and a wonderful florist. You almost don’t notice the discrete façade from the outside, but once you walk inside, it’s like you’ve been transported back to a different era. Indeed, the building that now hosts Le Narcisse Blanc once was the home of Cléo de Merode, a glamorous Parisian lady from the Belle Epoque. Dispite coming from an aristocratic background, she refused to fit into the role society expected from women at the time and chose to be her own, strong and independent personality. She never married, but devoted her life to the arts instead. She was the first real trendsetter of her time and became a muse for many famous artists (such as Gustav Klimt).
The hotel is still an ode to her persona: elegant marble floors, pretty pink couches and glamorous rooms.
We loved to hit the shops (and buy a bag or two :P) during the day and then enjoy the quiet of the spa at night.
In other words: the perfect discrete hideaway for us girls who are as ambitious and focused as Cléo, but chic at the same time.
And remember, as Audrey Hepburn once said: Paris is always a good idea!
Lots of love,
